The Foundation attended the 63rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Inherited Metabolic Diseases (JSIMD) which took place in Kumamoto, Japan from 24th – 26th November 2022. The conference was chaired by Professor Kimitoshi Nakamura (Kumamoto University Graduate School of Medical Sciences), Scientific Advisor to the Foundation and lead PI of the Kumamoto Centre of Excellence for Citrin Deficiency sponsored by the Foundation.

During the citrin deficiency symposium that was held on November 26, Barbara Yu (Co-Founder) presented to a large audience of clinicians and scientists with a strong interest in our work. Professor Johannes Häberle (University Children’s Hospital Zürich), a member of our Foundation’s Scientific Supervisory Board and a global expert on urea cycle disorders, also delivered a special seminar during the conference.
